Step back in time to the days when Blackbeard and his crew of scalawags called Bath home as pirates once again walk the streets of Historic Bath on May 13, 2023. The day’s events hold much history and promise great fun as The Loose Cannon Crew returns to Bath Fest and occupies Bonner’s Point with hands on history interpreting The Golden Age of Piracy. From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm art meets history at Bath Fest. Arts and craft vendors selling their original works line the streets while musical performances take the stage at the Bonner House. Visitors to Bath Fest will enjoy music by the Beaufort County Traditional Music Association, The Still Shakers, Emerald City Big Band, the Bath Elementary School Chorus, and Double Portion closing out the day. Art from Bath Elementary School students will be on display and civic groups will sell food. If you would like to learn more, Bath Fest is on Facebook and on Instagram as @bathfestnc.
Bonner’s Point is located at the intersection of S. Main and Front St. The address is 200 Front St, Bath, NC 27808.
